To inaugurate IMI's 10th International Conference, the Inaugural Ceremony was held in the Marquee Room of the conference venue, Pearl Continental Hotel. Dr. Ali Ammar, MBBS, FCPS of Pakistan, served as the session's moderator. Welcome statements were delivered by National Conference Coordinator Dr. Izhar Hussain, Ph.D., MBA, (Director of Center for Executive Education, Institute of Business Administration) and Global Summit Chair Dr. Shabih Zaidi, MD, FRCS, FACS, FCPS (Chancellor of Sadiq International University).
The Opening Plenary was delivered by Dr. Syed Shujat Ali Naqvi, MD, DFAPA, DFAACAP, MACP, Director of Psychiatric Services at Wayfinder Family Services (& Private Practice in California, USA), on Trauma in Children and Adolescents.
Dr. Huma Naqvi, MD, IMI Global President, as well as IMI Pakistan President Dr. Dilbar Saeed, MBBS, MBA, (Medical Superintendent of Fatimiyah Hospital) delivered welcoming statements.
The Honorable Governor of Sindh, Imran Ismail delivered the Inaugural Address as the session's special guest. In his address, he commended IMI for its service to humanity, and promised a tract of land to be used to develop a health center for the people of Sindh.
Following the Ceremony, Dr. Baghir Larijani, MD, FACE of Iran, (Founding President and Chief Scientific Officer EMRI & Professor of Medicine (TUMS)), delivered the Luncheon Lecture on Medical Education Reform in Iran.

It was an excellent conference well planned, presented, and well attended. If individually traveling we may have never enjoyed the kind of reception the participants received throughout their stay in Iran.

IMI has been my outlet for philanthropic work since before I entered into high school. It is through IMI that I see my efforts, here in New Jersey, manifest into something much greater around the world. IMI has helped me realize that ambition alone is not enough to change the world; in order to achieve the changes we wish to see in this world we require ambition, vision, and most importantly execution. That is why I have joined IMI, so that my ambition and vision can meet their execution.
